This week's theme is "advice" and to lead off, if I had any to personally give, I'd take my cue from Eddie & The Hot Rods and say, "Do anything you wanna do."
Eddie & The Hot Rods crept up while Punk was breaking out. They were the atypical Brit Pub Rock band - a high energy Rock combo that didn't fit in with Punk, so at the time, they were mis-labeled New Wave (along with Tom Petty). Believe me, when this tune came out, it was taken by music fans as a breath of fresh air. Glad you enjoyed it!
Aliester Crowley with Micky Mouse ears?! That is too cool!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny... 1/2 year ago I'd never heard of Eddie & The Hot Rods, but now they are coming at me from everywhere.
Thanks for this one, as I'd not heard it before. Plus, it seems like good advice!

ReplyDeleteAnyone else think the start of this sounds like 'Do they know it's Christmas?'??
ReplyDeleteI think it's more the other way around.
ReplyDeleteWell, ok, yes...but there's a similarity right?
ReplyDeleteI think Bob Geldof probably owes Eddie some royalties!
