A well-worn mid-seventies classic -- not my favorite song from SD by a long shot, but a good jam nonetheless. Looks like the shortlist items are falling fast...
I'd rather do less, and with more language/research. But the diversity of approaches is what makes this place fun, eh? Just so long as no one stops taking care, in the interest of speed -- and I think we're still a while from that.
Though to be fair, lightning storm + rural area has kept us offline for the better part of the evening. Not fast enough is one thing; being stymied by nature is quite another.
Sorry, I wasn't aware it was still storming out there.
For me, outside of the occasional long post here, the approach is to crank them out. There's no way I could blog at two places otherwise. I also post songs that I wouldn't at my spot, I see this as more for the general audience than niche.
As I said to Divinyl last week, we're all finding a slightly different balance...
For me, of course, three paragraphs IS a short post. These days, to my immense chagrin, I average seven full-sized 'grafs per post over at the home blog. But then, I only post 2-3 times a week there...and, as a teacher, I AM about to begin that wonderful time period called "summer vacation", so work schedules have already started lightening up enough to leave plenty of time for writing over the last few weeks.
And I, too, am enjoying the chance to stray from the niche market -- both from the folkworld, and from the cover mold as well. Certainly wouldn't have posted EMF or Rockwell in my "main" blog!

It's been liberating to break away, it helps loosen me up.
ReplyDeleteI wonder where the bloggers that make daily multi-posts find the time, it must be nice.
