The Cowboy Junkies: To Live Is To Fly (Townes Van Zandt Cover)

We're playing requests now on the bandstand. This one comes from a half-Canadian anonymous commenter who chimed in on Monday's post. Thanks to all!

Six Songs isn't the only blog to love The Cowboy Junkies or Townes, but we've got them both covered in one great song.

I'll miss the system here
The bottom's low and the treble's clear
But it don't pay to think too much
On the things you leave behind...

(Any ideas for next week's theme?)

Lessee .... Spring (we can hope it comes someday).

Nova Scotia (if you want to get particular on Canada)?

Everyone else seems to be concentrating on SXSW - how about something anti-SXSW (not that there's anything wrong with that ... )?

As for the Cowboy Junkies - nice choice. I've got everything they've ever done (and then some) and seen them dozens of time. How about bands/tunes that have warmed up for, or played with, the Cowboy Junkies?!? It's not a bad list.

Have a good weekend.
