X: Devil Doll
[purchase]
Devil Doll is from More Fun in the New World, the fourth album by the band X. Many of the songs from the 1983 production later found themselves performed acoustic in the X side project, The Knitters. Here's an interesting 1986 video with the band, it has interviews and a live performance featuring The Blaster's Dave Alvin, who at that point in time had joined the band for a spell.

Dean, you're on FIRE this week! Mega bonus points for all X, especially in reference to the Dave Alvin era.
Another appropirate X song would be "Real Child Of Hell."
I just saw X in May. They still sound great.
Web guru Brendan: Why are Dean's post showing up with "blogger" comments instead of "Disqus" comments?
Thanks, I'm glad all enjoyed it. The Dave Alvin era shouldn't be overlooked. I missed X's show out here, I'm jealous of you, Paul! Their website has lots of new live footage, it's worth checking out.
Disqus seems to have disappeared here.
Disqus is still working for subsequent posts, though. Is this a fluke?
Dean, you must be clicking "allow comments" in the "post options" section. That would override Disqus.
(This info comes from Brendan.)
That makes sense. I noticed the default was set to no replies and figured it was some sort of snafu - I'll get to the posts affected.
It's too late to get Disqus working on this post, but I fixed the other ones.
